Retained by the Ministry of Transportation and Highways, JLLA was involved in the development of several highway and roadside projects, providing grading, drainage and sustainable planning solutions.  Projects included:


the Cameron Street Overpass interchange


John Hart Bridge and Interchange which met Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s mandate as a ‘premium suburban’ landscape treatment


2 Mile Flat Beautification (in two phases) respecting the more formal, urban environment and the role as the northern entrance to Quesnel

 

Red Rock Weigh Scale and four laning of Highway 97 with landscaping to screen a waste water lagoon, extensive hydroseeding of cut and fill slopes, and indigenous tree plantings to complement the surrounding natural landscape.

 

Highway Rest Areas on Highway 16 at Slim Creek and Mile 80 of the Alaska Highway.  Meeting the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure’s mandate for upgrading the rest areas from Class ‘C’ facility to Class ‘B’ involved designing all-season washroom facilities, parking for commercial vehicles, children’s playground, nature walk and picnic sites.
